CIP v4.07 (2015-04-01 TechBrief# 1043)

  • Fix locked ped call with no flashing ID LEDs
  • Occurs with SP1 systems on channel A. It is more likely on installations with four PBS on the channel.
  • In the CCU2EN CIP firmware there is a single, one-byte variable that controls the placing of a ped call in the event of a self-test failure. Four of the eight bits are used to indicate a fault of the four possible IDs for the channel. The other four bits are not used, however they are expected to always be zero, and if any are not zero then a ped call would be placed unexpectedly. The four used bits are also in control of the ID LED flashing in case of a failed self-test. All eight bits are set to zero at power on or reset. No code otherwise is applicable to manipulation of the unused bits.
  • Addressed this issue without regard to cause. It automatically forces the unused bits to be ignored when evaluating the variable for placed a ped call.
