What Epoxy is Used to Install the Frey Pole?

The Wireless Ped System (WPS) Frey Pole requires anchor rods to be installed and secured into the concrete using approved epoxy only. Frey Manufacturing specifies Hilti HIT-HY 200 injectable mortar to be used.

This article lists the necessary tools and material needed to dispense the approved epoxy.

  • Injectable Mortar/Epoxy Resin Cartridge: One of these cartridges will install three full poles (12 anchor rods) comfortably.
    • Hilti HIT-HY-200 (item 2334274).

  • Dispenser Gun: This is reloadable, so only one is needed.
    • Hilti HDM 500 Manual Adhesive Dispenser (item 3498314)

  • Mixing Nozzle: One is needed per job/gun whether you’re installing one or one-hundred poles. The epoxy starts mixing and curing in the nozzle when first dispensed and cannot be cleaned out.
