Release Notes for iNavigator Firmware

Product applicability

Firmware file is the same for all iNavigator variants (includes all 2-wire, 3-wire, ES, and PZ models):

iNav Firmware v4.19 (r231128)

• Fix an issue where the RN4020 BLE module stops advertising after a while.

iNav Firmware v4.18 (r230607)

• Fix issue where iNav3 doesn't function properly when powering up in WALK mode. The iNav3 assumes that the Ped Intervals cycle over time, however we have a customer where the Ped interval is always Walk. This fixes same issue in 2-wire mode as well.
• Add option to enable/disable external button operation in 2-wire mode
  • Note: This feature will be disabled by default. Which means that when any customers currently using this feature upgrades to this version, the feature will be disabled until they specifically go into settings and enable it.
• Fix issue which could cause feature in the preemption message to stop playing in certain conditions

• Add new button count types for External presses, PedApp, iDetect, and Wireless Sync activations.

• Add PLC Channel C (only with iCCU v3.91 or later).
• (Fix issue when transitioning from walk sound to locate sound during rest in walk.)
• (Modified PLC reconnection health log entry to minimize qty of entries.)

• Support PLC Diagnostics.
• Cancel Push Confirm Message when Information Message starts.
• Add compatibility with iCCU units running PLC Channel C (iCCU v3.91 or greater). (FCC-High PLC Band)
• Changed button push logic to better handle presses of longer than 30 seconds.

iNav Firmware v4.08 (r200515)

• Fix an issue to prevent the rare occurrence of audio not operating properly on unit startup.
• Added confirmation tones to determine enable/disable status of the BLE disable feature.
• Fix compatibility issue with Samsung Galaxy S9/S10 with Android 10 not being able to connect via BLE to the iNav.
• Fix compatibility issue with Apple devices running iOS v13.4 or greater requiring bonding information to be cleared before connection to an iNav.

iNav Firmware v4.02 (r200124)

• Add ability to use Wireless Sync in iN2 mode for intersections requiring a mix of iN2 and iN3 units.
• Add discrete Push Button Confirmation Min and Max volume configurations to allow separate volume settings for the Wait sound versus the Information message.
• Add ability to mute audio based on a GPIO signal from iCCU (requires iCCU v3.90).

• Fix issue which may cause loss of audio. (Audio stability issues)

iNav Firmware v3.206 (r181114)

• Change health log to new format: This decreases the size required to store health log data and speeds up download times. This means that the health log will be cleared when updated to this version. Also, old iOS/PC/Android apps will not be able to read the new health log. The apps must be updated.
• Holds calls down on iCCU as long as button held down, even across interval boundary.
• Allow the ped cycle to go from playing Walk sound, to locate tone then to clearance sound.
• Fix issue with Button going silent after playing walk when EPP is enabled.
• Updated Extended Push Priority to terminate EPP muting cycle if PBS Walk message terminates during the walk cycle (when Sound/Vib Retrigger = Button Press).
• Change Data Line interpretation mechanism to increase tolerance to noisy data signal. (Remove Leaky Load Switch detection.)
