Release Notes for Polara FS App (iOS)

The iOS FS App and is used to connect to any iNavigator series PBS (via BLE) or iCCUs (via WiFi). The compatible products include:

iOS FS App v2.4.0 (2025-07-08)

• Add support for iNX/iDX units running v2.0.0+ firmware
• Fix text on password change screen to include the need for a number
• Hide Flash Settings screen and menu option
• Support WPSE & WPC units' ability to disable/enable BLE user access

iOS FS App v2.2.0 (2025-04-29)

• Limit uploading of audio messages to only those originating from the Polara Audio Library
• Require passwords to be minimum of 8 characters with at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one special character
• Display a warning after logging in if the password used to login does not meet new minimum requirements
• When attempting a Password Reset, do not allow more than two attempts to submit a verification code for each challenge code

iOS FS App v2.1.3 (2025-02-11)

• Bug: Increase performance of firmware update with v5.1.0 and greater
  • Fixes issue in v5.1.4 where it may take two attempts to complete a firmware update when updating to another version beyond v5.1.4
  • Fixes issue when downgrading from v5.1.4 to v5.0.3 and back up to v5.1.4 again and firmware doesn't apply final changes to BLE
• Bug: Fix issue causing the Load Switch Interval Status dialog to list assigned phases as Unassigned when phases are assigned to different channels than default

• Change target designation to both iPhone and iPad (instead of only iPhone). This will make it so when it is installed on an iPad, it doesn't run in iPhone simulation mode

iOS FS App v1.12.0 (2017-03-20)

• This version includes a few new updates as well as several bug fixes
• Added the ability to listen to OGG files directly within the app. Use it in the Audio File browser by tapping a file and choosing the ‘Play File’ option
• Added a new Ped Isolator Emulation screen. Access this screen from the iCCU Configuration screen on the Setup Tab. You can place momentary ped calls or lock calls in on specific phases
• Added refresh button to Phase Setup screen. If an iN2 unit has not yet connected to the iCCU via PLC, it may not show in the Phase Setup list. Tapping the refresh button after the unit connects will then add it to the list
• Added access to the ‘First Push Only’ modifier to the Extended Push Priority setting. This modifies the Extended Push Priority feature so that only the first detected extended push activates the Extended Push Priority feature. See the details on the help page for the Extended Push Priority setting
• Added Double Walk setting to the settings list. This feature causes two activated walk cycles to occur for use in long crosswalks with an island that does not have a button on the island. See the details on the help page for the Second Walk setting
• Added Limit Push Recall setting to the settings list. See the details on the help page for the Limit Push Recall setting
• Added Red LED as a GPIn Function option. This feature turns on the Pilot LED for all iN2 units during Clearance and Don’t Walk cycles to inform pedestrians that a call has already been placed. This is typically used if the intersection is kept in recall for extended periods of time
• Added option in iN2 mode to clear all iN2 health logs. This option can be used after an intersection has been fully checked after installation to clear all issues from all health logs in one operation
• Added the ability for the app to operate in portrait or landscape mode. The app is now responsive to rotation and can be rotated in all screens
• Changed the icon to disconnect from the current unit from a refresh icon to an exit icon
• Changed the list of iN2/iN3 units in the connection screen to be ordered by signal strength instead of alphabetical
• Updated the iN2 and iN3 manuals to the latest versions
• Changed the default setting for Extended Push Time to 1 second to match the factory default setting in firmware
• Added additional details to the file upload progress bar. It now shows elapsed time, estimated remaining time and a numerical percentage value
• Fixed an issue with the Ped Call ‘Test’ button in the Channel Setup screen
• Fixed an issue which would cause the maximum volume settings not to update when opening a file containing saved settings
