Some users experience issues connecting to the iCCU's WiFi hotspot in Windows 10 and 11 devices.
One possible cause is the properties for your network adapter are incompatible with the iCCU. The iCCU only supports the legacy WiFi standard operating in the 2.4GHz 802.11b band. You may need to force your device to operate on this band.
The following instructions detail the network adapter setup. They are for Win 11 but similar steps may be used on Win 10.
On Win 11, go to Settings > Network & internet
Settings
Click on Wi-Fi
Network & Internet
Choose Hardware properties (if this option is not available, contact your IT administrator before continuing)
Wi-Fi
Select Edit next to “More adapter options”
Wi-Fi Hardware Properties
On Wi-Fi Properties, choose Configure
Wi-Fi Properties
On the Advanced tab select the property 802-11a/b/g Wireless Mode. Click the dropdown menu under Value and select 2.4GHz 802.11b. Click OK to make changes
Network Adapter Properties
Enable WiFi on the iCCU using the front panel buttons of your iCCU (from the Home Page, select Activate WiFi).
Go back to your Win 11 device.
Connect to the iCCU's WiFi hotspot.
Choose the iCCU's SSID from the available networks (SSID starts with "iCCU3_" and will match the SSID displayed on the front of the iCCU).
Select Connect, then enter the password DEFAULT1.
If Windows is still unable to connect, contact Polara Tech Support for further assistance.
