Does the WPS system antennas need to be mounted at the same height?

The Wireless Ped System (WPS) utilizes a bespoke 10-foot pole for optimal mounting heights between the WPS and Wireless Ped Head Control Unit (WPC) antennas.

Included with each system is a "discrete antenna" and "performance antenna" for the WPC:

Discrete Antenna

  • Visually unobtrusive

Performance Antenna

  • Best signal gain

It is imperative that the solar kit's antenna is mounted as close to the same height as the WPC's antenna as is feasible. This will help ensure the signal integrity between the two antennas is as strong as possible.

If the solar kit is mounted on a pole taller than 10 feet, Polara offers a remote solar kit antenna that can be relocated to the side of the pole at the same height as the WPC (WPS Part Numbers).
