What is the Wireless Ped Head Control Unit (WPC)?

The Wireless Ped Head Control Unit (WPC) mounts inside the existing pedestrian signal head. Its features include:

  • Easy-to-install. Unit allows for single or two-way communication
  • Mounts in the pedestrian signal head and monitors to the WALK/DON’T  WALK signals sent to the lamp
  • Communicates the pedestrian WALK cycles with the WPS solar kit via Bluetooth

  • In an actuated intersection, transmits calls from the iNS button to the control unit in the cabinet over button wires

    Two antennas included:
    • Performance antenna mounts to the top of the signal head, gives the best signal gain
    • Discreet antenna mounts beneath the signal head, is visually unobtrusive
