Re-map Desk Instructions - Trafficware

When an iCCU-S/S2 system is operating in SDLD/BIU mode, the traffic controller must be remapped for it to see pedestrian calls over BIU. Use the following procedure for Trafficware or similar traffic controllers:

  • Configure Detector Rack BIU for Pedestrian Calls (example is BIU#2)

    • Add Detector Rack Device (Need to add the second detector rack to enable the SDLC signaling to it)

      • Main Menu (older Trafficware firmware)
        • Select β€œ1”Controller
        • Select β€œ3” Chan, SDLC
        • Select β€œ7” SDLC Devcs
      • Main Menu (Newer Trafficware firmware)
        • Select β€œ1”Controller
        • Select β€œ3” Chan, SDLC
        • Select β€œ1” TS2 Devcs
      • Move cursor to the right, under Detector 2
      • Select β€œ1” to enable
      • Press β€œENTR” key to save

    • Detector Rack Re-mapping

      • For Detector BIU 2: Map the input functions Veh Call 17, Veh Call 18, Veh Call 19, and Veh Call 20 to Ped Call 2, Ped Call 4, Ped Call 6 and Ped Call 8, respectively
      • For Detector BIU 3: Map Veh Call 33, Veh Call 34, Veh Call 35, and Veh Call 36 to Ped Call 2, Ped Call 4, Ped Call 6 and Ped Call 8, respectively
      • For Detector BIU 4: Map Veh Call 49, Veh Call 50, Veh Call 51, and Veh Call 52 to Ped Call 2, Ped Call 4, Ped Call 6 and Ped Call 8, respectively
      • On the Trafficware controller Vehicle Call inputs 1-64 are input function numbers 1-64, respectively
      • The Ped Call inputs 1-8 are input function numbers 129-136, respectively
      • For a standard 4 ped phase intersection only input functions 130 (phase 2), 132(phase 4), 134 (phase 6), 136 (phase 8) are used
      • Go to the β€œIO Logic” menu to re map the functions.
        • Main Menu (older Trafficware firmware)
          • Select β€œ1” Controller
          • Select β€œ3” Chan, SDLC
          • Select β€œ9” IO Mapping
          • Select β€œ1” IO Logic
        • Main Menu (newer Trafficware firmware)
          • Select β€œ1” Controller
          • Select β€œ8” Channel IO
          • Select β€œ7” IO Logic
        • Set according to table (enter the vehicle call function number on the right and the ped call function on the left) (Detector 2 re-mapping shown)

        • Press β€œENTR” key to save.
  • Configure Terminals and Facilities BIU 2 with Flash Status

    • Re-Map Flash to Output Logic 1 function

      • Main Menu
      • Select β€œ1” Controller
      • Select β€œ3” Chan, SDLC
      • Select β€œ9” IO Mapping
      • Select β€œ1” IO Logic
      • Move the cursor down to find an open row (the first 4 rows were used to re-map veh calls to ped calls previously)
      • Set according to table:

      • Select β€œ1” Controller

      • Move cursor to the right twice to edit BIU 2
      • Move cursor down to row 36
      • Set the output code to 230

      • Press β€œENTR” key to save.
