Re-map Desk Instructions - McCain

When an iCCU-S/S2 system is operating in SDLD/BIU mode, the traffic controller must be remapped for it to see pedestrian calls over BIU. Use the following procedure for McCain traffic controllers:

  • Configure Detector Rack BIU for Pedestrian Calls

    • Add Detector Rack Device (need to add the second detector rack to enable the SDLC signaling to it)
      • Main Menu
      • Select “1. Unit”
      • Select “7. NEMA TS2 SETUP”
      • Press ‘0’ to add Detector Rack BIU #2.
      • Press “ENT”, then “YES” to complete DB transaction.
    • Detector Rack Re-mapping
      • Main Menu
      • Select “1. Unit”
      • Select “5. I/O Mapping”
      • Select “2. NEMA TS2 BIU”
      • Select “1. INPUTS”
      • Press ‘1’ ‘0’ in the “SELECT A BIU:” field, then press “ENT” button
      • Use the “-“ button to change the “Function” from “VEHICLE DETECTOR” to “PEDESTRIAN DETECTOR”
      • Use the “→” button to move to the curser to the “IDX column and press “2”.
      • Repeat for the next 7 rows, so the mapping looks as follows:

    • Configure Logic Gate
      • Main Menu
      • Select “1. Unit”
      • Select “6. LOGIC GATES”
      • Enter a logic gate index to define (1-64).
      • Select “TYPE” “OR”
      • Select “OUTMODE” “NORMAL”
      • Configure “IN1”, “IN2”, “IN3” and “OUT as follows:

      • Press “ENT”, then “YES” to complete DB transaction
    • Map Flash Logic to Terminal and Facilities BIU 2 Ouput
      • Assign the Logic Output from the previous step to one of four spare I/O Pins on TF BIU 2. The IO Pin number will have to match the configuration in the iCCU.
      • Main Menu
      • Select “1. Unit”
      • Select “5. I/O Mapping”
      • Select “2. NEMA TS2 BIU”
      • Select “2. OUTPUTS”
      • Enter BIU number “2”
      • Scroll or page down to “PIN” “IO21”, “IO22”, “IO23”, or “IO24”.
      • Set the “FUNCTION” to “LOGIC OUTPUT”.
      • Set the “IDX” to match the “LOGIC OUTPUT” “IDX” in 2.1.
      • Press “ENT”, then “YES” to complete DB transaction
