Re-map Desk Instructions - Intelight

When an iCCU-S/S2 system is operating in SDLD/BIU mode, the traffic controller must be remapped for it to see pedestrian calls over BIU. Use the following procedure for Intelight traffic controllers:

  • Initialize

    • This instruction uses the front panel display, but the web server can be used for easier configuration.

      Connect computer to internal Web server for easier configuration.

      User Ethernet adapter 2 with IP address 10.20.70.51.

      Set connect computer IP address to 10.20.70.100, Subnet mask:255.255.255.0.

      Web server is at 10.20.70.51.

      Configure Detector Rack BIU for Pedestrian Calls

    • Add Detector Rack Device (need to add the second detector rack to enable the SDLC signaling to it)
      • Front Panel Manager – Select “1 MaxTime”
      • Main Menu – Intelight MaxTime x.x.x
      • Select “2. Controller”
      • Select “9. More”
      • Select “2. Advanced IO”
      • Select “1. IO Modules”
      • Add “TS2 DR2 BIU” to Module 6
    • Detector Rack Re-mapping
      • Need to map detector to ped detectors.
      • Front Panel Manager – Select “1 MaxTime”
      • Main Menu – Intelight MaxTime x.x.x
      • Select “2. Controller”
      • Select “9. More”
      • Select “2. Advanced IO”
      • Select “3. Input Points”
      • Enter the IO Module number “6” and press “ENT”.
      • Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the Control type of the first row.
      • Use the “-“ button to change the “Control Type” from “Veh Det Call” to “Ped Det Call”.
      • Use the “→” button to move to the curser to the “Index” column and press “2”.
      • Repeat for the next 7 rows, so the mapping looks as follows:

  • Configure Terminals and Facilities BIU 2 for Flash

    • Create User Program Definition
      • Front Panel Manager – Select “1 MaxTime”
      • Main Menu – Intelight MaxTime x.x.x
      • Select “2. Controller”
      • Select “9. More”
      • Select “7. User Programs”
      • Select “2. Definition”
      • Type a Program number “1” and hit enter. (You can use any program number if “1” is used.)
      • In the top row use the right arrow key to move the cursor the “Result” column.
      • Use the plus key to Select “Unit Alarm”.
      • Use the right arrow key to move the cursor to the “Ind” column.
      • Type “2” for the index.
      • Use the right arrow key to move the cursor to the “Operation” column.
      • Use the plus key to Select “R=(A OR B)”.
      • Use the right arrow key to move the cursor to the “Param A” column.
      • Use the plus key to Select “MMU Flash”.
      • Use the right arrow key to move the cursor to the “Param B” column.
      • Use the plus key to Select “Local Flash”.
      • Exit this screen.
    • Map Defined Alarm to Terminal and Facilities BIU 2 Ouput
      • Assign the defined unit alarm from the previous step to one of four spare I/O Pins on TF BIU 2. The IO Pin number will have to match the configuration in the iCCU.
      • Front Panel Manager – Select “1 MaxTime”
      • Main Menu – Intelight MaxTime x.x.x
      • Select “2. Controller”
      • Select “9. More”
      • Select “2. Advanced IO”
      • Select “4. Output Points”
      • When prompted for “IO Module”, type “4” and press the “ENT” key.
      • In the “Desc” column use the down arrow key to move the cursor to the row with “Desc” “I/O 21”, “I/O 22”, “I/O 23”, or “I/O 24”.
      • Use the right arrow key to move the cursor to the “Control Type” column.
      • Use the plus key to select “Alarm Status”.
      • Use the right arrow key to move the cursor to the “Index” column.
      • Type a “2” for the index which should match the index in section 3.1.
      • Exit this menu.
