Re-map Desk Instructions - Econolite ASC/3

When an iCCU-S/S2 system is operating in SDLD/BIU mode, the traffic controller must be remapped for it to see pedestrian calls over BIU. Use the following procedure for Econolite ASC/3 or similar traffic controllers:

• Configure Detector Rack BIU for Pedestrian Calls

  • Add Detector Rack Device (need to add the detector rack to enable the SDLC signaling to it)
    • Main Menu
    • Select “1. CONFIGURATION”
    • Select “4. PORT 1 (SDLC)”
    • Select “1. SDLC OPTIONS
    • Press “Down Arrow” to navigate to second row (DETECTOR RACK)
    • Use “Right Arrow” to navigate to BIU 1,2,3 or 4.
    • Press ‘0’ (toggle) to add Detector Rack desired BIU.
  • Enable Vehicle Detectors
    • Main Menu
    • Select “6. DETECTORS”
    • Select “2. VEHICLE DETECTOR SETUP”
    • Enter the vehicle detector number. Refer to the table below for the detector numbers for each BIU.
    • Use arrow keys to navigate to the 5th row and enter the phase number that will be used with this detector.
    • Repeat for each detector that will be mapped to an Ped detector (max 8).

• Detector Rack Re-mapping
  • Main Menu
  • Select “1. CONFIGURATION”
  • Select “8. LOGIC PROCESSOR”
  • Select “2. LOGIC STATEMENT”
  • Enter the LP# starting with “1”
  • Enter the following logic statement (example is for BIU 3)

    • IF DET 33 IS ON

      THEN DET SET PED 2 ON

      ELSE DET SET PED 2 OFF

      Repeat for the other detector inputs.

    • LP# 2

      IF DET 34 IS ON

      THEN DET SET PED 4 ON

      ELSE DET SET PED 4 OFF

    • LP# 3

      IF DET 35 IS ON

      THEN DET SET PED 6 ON

      ELSE DET SET PED 6 OFF

    • LP# 4

      IF DET 36 IS ON

      THEN DET SET PED 8 ON

      ELSE DET SET PED 8 OFF
