APS/AID Part Numbering Schemes

Quick reference page for decoding the part numbering scheme of iN, iNS, & iNX (all variants) series APS/AID buttons.

Note: EN2 and EN4 have the same part numbering scheme except:

  • Model Series is "EN"
  • Model Type options are either "2" (2-Wire) or "4" (4-Wire)
  • Color options include the possibility for the whole body of the button to be one color
    • PY (all yellow)
    • PG (all green)
    • Otherwise the color designator refer to the front of the button to be that color while the back mounting body is black

  • 5 = 5” x 7.75”
  • 9 = 9” x 12”
  • 3 = 9” x 15”
  • 8 = 9” x 18”

Sign:

O = No sign (letter “o”)

A = Option A (International Walking Sign, Black on White, Powder Coat) 5x7 Only

B = Option B (Informational Sign, Powder Coat) 5x7 Only

C = Option C (Countdown Sign, Powder Coat) 9x12 Only

D = Option D (International Walking Sign, White on Black, Powder Coat) 5x7 & 9x12 Only

E = Option E (iDetect/Touchless, Powder Coat) 5x7 Only

M = Option M (MDOT, Diamond Grade Retroreflective) 5x7 & 9x15 Only

N = Option N (MUTCD R10-3e, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective, Anti Graffiti) 9x12 Only

Q = Option Q (NYC, Powder Coated Aluminum) 5x7 Only

R = Option R (iDetect/Touchless, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective) 9x12 & 9x15 Only

S = Option S (iDecect/Touchless Sign, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective) 9x12 - For AID touchless only

T = Option T (MUTCD R10-3e, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective) 9x15 & 9x18 Only

U = Option U (MUTCD R10-3b, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective) 9x12 Only

V = Option V (MUTCD R10-3, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective) 9x12 Only

W = Option W (MUTCH R10-25, Hi-Intensity Retroreflective) 5x7 & 9x12 Only - For AID Only

Note: Many signs styles are only available in limited size options or may be only applicable for certain models.

N = No Braille

B = Braille Text

Special Voice Message and Configuration:

0 = Standard Messages (number zero)

1 = Special Voice Messages

Color of Front Cover:

  • B = Black
  • G = Green
  • Y = Yellow

Special Designators:

  • -AG = Anti-Graffiti coating on sign (not available for all options)
  • -BD = Bi-directional arrow on button and sign (cannot be combined with -NA)
  • -NA = No arrow on button and sign (cannot be combined with -BD)
  • -ES = External Speaker option
    • N/A for iNX/iDX
  • -CT = Custom Vinyl Text Street Name on Sign
  • -W# = Extended warranty (# is number of years)
