Release Notes for Polara FS App (Android)

Product applicability

The Android FS App and is used to connect to any iNavigator series PBS (via BLE) or iCCUs (via WiFi). The compatible products include:

Android FS App v1.06.00 (2025-07-08)

• Add support for iNX/iDX units running v2.0.0+ firmware
• Fix text on password change screen to include the need for a number
• Fixed issue with UI overlap on Android 15 devices
• Add ability to set Load Switch Address with Advanced Settings in SDLC/BIU selection
  • Polara User Account screens retain state when navigating away from the app. This fixes the issue of users not being able to validate their e-mail or reset their password for the Polara AWS account
  • Connected BLE devices do not automatically disconnect when navigating away from the app
  • BLE Scanning mechanism was reconfigured to better handle restarting leading to a more stable experience
• Implemented Health Status feature for WPC/WPSE units
• Hide Flash Settings screen and menu option
• Support WPSE & WPC units' ability to disable/enable BLE user access

Android FS App v1.05.00 (2025-05-22)

• Phase 1 Security Enhancements
  • Add button to Enable/Disable BLE User Access
  • Add message to handle a security lockout due to two incorrect verification codes when performing a password reset
  • Allow user-generated audio files to be uploaded to units with firmware including enhanced security updates
  • Add sequential dialogs with warnings for critical firmware updates and insecure passwords
  • Show a notice when a new version of the app is available on the play store

Android FS App v1.04.00 (2025-04-29)

• Limit uploading of audio messages to only those originating from the Polara Audio Library
• Require passwords to be minimum of 8 characters with at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one special character
• Display a warning after logging in if the password used to login does not meet new minimum requirements
• When attempting a Password Reset, do not allow more than two attempts to submit a verification code for each challenge code

Android FS App v1.03.05 (2025-03-25)

• Make convenience improvements to the iCCU Auto-Reset screen
• WPC/WPSE Advanced Logging:
  • Add ability to change Advanced Logging setting on WPC and WPSE units
  • Hide unrecognized health log items when Advanced Logging is disabled

Android FS App v1.03.03 (2025-01-27)

• Bug fix: Increase performance of firmware update with v5.1.0 and greater
  • Fixes issue in v5.1.4 where it may take two attempts to complete a firmware update when updating to another version beyond v5.1.4
  • Fixes issue when downgrading from v5.1.4 to v5.0.3 and back up to v5.1.4 again and firmware doesn't apply final changes to mezzanine firmware
• Fixed minor text issues on some WPC and WPSE screens (fixed a few typos)
• Fixed issue causing some WPC and WPSE health log entries to appear as unrecognized (updated BinLogText file)

Note: Version numbers v1.00.15 and v1.00.16 were not used due to errors made during the compile and upload process to Google Play store causing those version numbers to be unable to be reused, so instead of the next release being v1.00.15, it was v1.00.17

Android FS App v1.00.09 (2018-02-02)

• Fixed an issue which could cause the app to crash if the firmware upload process was interrupted by disconnecting from the unit
• The disconnect button in the flyout menu has been changed to a "cancel" button when a firmware update is in process. Once the process has been canceled, the menu item returns to "disconnect"
